AGN International - North America Announces
Officers

Charlie McGimsey, Windham Brannon , P.C., CPAs, Atlanta, GA, been elected Chair of AGN International-North America, Inc. (AGN-NA; 150 offices in 30 states, three Canadian provinces, Puerto Rico and two cities in Mexico.)
As AGN-NA Chair, McGimsey will preside at meetings of the North American Region’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee throughout 2009.

McGimsey and the AGN-NA Executive Committee’s primary focus will be continuing to implement tactics to achieve five ambitious strategic objectives identified by the AGN-NA Board of Directors in late 2005. During his term as chair, McGimsey has also pledged to streamline communications among members and headquarters.
AGN-NA currently
has 52 CPA, CA and accounting firms as members of the North
American region. AGN-NA is part of AGN International,
Ltd., which has 455 offices and 197 member firms in 90 countries, and is ranked as the largest association of accounting firms in the world. World headquarters are in London, and the North American headquarters are in Denver, CO.
McGimsey has served on AGN-NA’s Board of Directors since 2002 and its Executive Committee since 2005. He joined Windham Brannon & Co.as a principal in 1988 and became Managing Partner in 1996. McGimsey’s technical expertise includes corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, litigation support, and IRS controversy. As a Certified Fraud Examiner, he has provided expert consulting and witness services in large fraud cases. He has been an expert in legal disputes on lost profits, insolvency determination, financial projections, business valuation, income tax matters, professional malpractice, and claims administration for class action settlements. Charlie has also supervised complex and sensitive engagements for the U.S. Treasury Department and the Office of Inspector General. He has provided merger and acquisition consulting for the Resolution Trust Corporation and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as well as private companies.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Windham Brannon, P.C., CPAs dates its active association membership back to 1967 when the firm joined TAG International, which merged with AGN International in 2002. WB has been recognized as one of the Top 25 firms in the country by an industry publication.
